The Full English Breakfast Replacement

I decided in the last couple of weeks to ditch the Full english for breakfast or some days the a half english breakfast.

In the last 6 months I have put on in excess of 1 stone or 14 plus pounds (1 sounds better than 14- but when you lose 14 sounds better than 1 !!). The main reason for the increase is limited exercise and when dropping daughter off at school there was a convenient breakfast place nearby for a quick brekkie and a large coffee.

What has prompted me was two things obviously the weight increase and general tiredness I was feeling and also the breakfast place on the board decided it was a good idea to put the number of calories and grammes of fat beside each choice. It startled me as I was nearly consuming 2/3 of my daily aloowance and way over the fat content. No wonder I was feeling sluggish and lethargic.

My wife does sell the very answer but at the time was not interested. So I started on the products. Essentially I have a Protein shake each morning. This is a combination of a strawberry flavoured (there are another 7 different flavours) soya protein powder and I mix this with apple juice and shake until the consistency is mixed then place in the fridge overnight to give it a thicker volume.

I did this for the last two weeks which is about half a tub. Each Morning I had this shake before the school run and was instantly full and ready to go. The fuel inside my body saw me through to lunchtime no problem with out the need to eat. Often after a full english I would be picking again, but the shakes did the job, saved me money and lost weight. In those 2 weeks I lost 7 pounds and 2 inches of my waist. My energy has soared as now drinking plenty of water instead of coffee and my habits have changed. Now doubt I will have the odd full english but to me this has replaced it and I feel a lot better for it.

Madchester Revivalist

I recently spent an evening at Manchester Midi School to do a DJ course as I was thinking of getting back into it as the last time I did it seriously was in the late 80's ( apart from a set at a wedding in France in 2003!!)

It has all changed as it is digital for a start but the 2 hour experience whetted my appetite and has given me a drive to get back on the road. Now as with anything times change and music moves on but that doesnt mean everyone has to. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing and can provoke feelings and nothing I feel better than music.

For me the whole Madchester experience was a wonderful time. Lots of parties and raves at weekends, baggy clothing, listening to bands and not manufactured groups. Sure it wasn't all rosy mostly hazy, there was a lot of being skint as clothes and music went hand in hand so I decided that if I was to DJ then this type of genre is what I would play. You had the wonderful bands of Joy Division, The smiths, New order, Happy Monday and Stone Roses fusing with the acid tunes such as 808 state. The feedback I get is looking good so I am now looking for equipment and looking forward to blasting those tunes out in environment it deserves.

For those who need a reminder I recommend a few CDs to remember and for those too young you are never too young. This was a revolution of music at the time when the charts was getting to same state as now with moguls such as stock, aitken and waterman ruling the waves with the safe bubblegum pop of jason and kylie.

I recommend this CD's and I hope you enjoy. Sorted!!

Unbelievable Volume 1 Click here - features the roses and Mondays
Unbelievable Volume 2 Click here - features The Smiths , New Order and Charlatans
Sorted Click here - again features the top bands and also The Farm, prefab sprout, James
Hacienda Classics Click here - features amongst others the legendary Joy division

Fat Loss Answers

Many questions are asked about can you lose weight without feeling hungry, is breakfast really important, controlling cravings etc..

The key is to make sure you eat little and often during the day, this helps maintain your blood sugar levels from dropping such as fruits, veg, fish or chicken. they help fill you up without calorie increase. Also important that mild dehydration can increase feelings of hunger so a recommended 8 glasses of water a day can decrease those feelings.

Studies have shown that breakfast is important as this elevates and kick starts your blood sugars and this in turn decrease the cravings for high calorie/fatty foods at bay.If the idea of eating first thing in the morning isnt good then maybe a shake or smoothie may help, this can help you as quick in the morning if in a rush for work.

A lot of people ask if eating late at night cause more weight gain, the answer is simple NO!!, eating late is no different to eating during the day, your body is working all the time even when your up or when your asleep.

What Happens once the target weight has been achieved

You will have seen in the news the amazing weight loss by Actress Pauline Quirke who lost well over 8 Stone on a diet.

She is pleased with the loss but is now having to get to the idea of eating and exercising as part of her regime.

Exercise is definately a key component and the word I keep hearing particularly from my wife and her friends is Zumba.

This is everywhere posters on the streets, gyms, DVD, WII games etc.. now it looks like a great way to punish your body by dancing and this in turn tones the body as well as burning calories..For me the only time I ever danced was usually after a few beers but I did try the WII zumba and I have to say I was hooked as well as knackered.

Now I wont go out in public and do this, but with DVD and WII there is a time you can do this at home and not feel too daft.

This will build your confidence and If you like me will one day do this in public then this is a great way to start.

To buy the latest Zumba DVD click here.

I can recommend this product highly.

Starting an online business or have one currently? you need to read this

Hi everyone

Online businesses has it success and its failure. One thing I have learnt over the years is that it is not how hard you work but how much you know.

A lot of people give up so early when they don't get the rewards for there hard work. That sometimes can be down to attitude (still in employee mood) or simply not progressing with what they know or learnt. As we know the internet is getting bigger and we simply cant equate the many changes search engines are imposing. It is hard!

When I started my adventure about 3 years ago I did not have a clue where to start so tentatively I started on a part time basis and got my fingers burned a lot. I spent hundreds on tools, kit, training and all of it useless. These so called experts had just collected the money and dissapeared into the night. It was my fault I didnt do the checks and got lured by the big potential money earning opportunities out there.

As my experience and wisdom grew I was able to decipher what was good and what was not very good. There are a lot of good people out there but equally there can be some destructive ones out there.

One marketing guru I came across was Ed Dale. I did what research I could and could see quite early on this man knew his stuff and whats more he knew other people who were like minded.

Ed and his guys set to task about offering training to the masses online for FREE.. yes FREE. A big undertaking and a lot of expense to him and his gang. The training has been running for over 3 years and each year it is updated. Once you have submitted your details you have exclusivity to the training and is up to you at what pace you go but recommend at least 30 minutes a day.

The Challenge is free to anyone who is just starting and experience is not required.  A capacity to learn and take on what they say. The objective is to make £1 online. Not a massive amount but it is amazing once you have how this snowballs.

Once you have the experience of completing the Challenge or you are up and running but need that next push then you can go onto the next program and Ed offers you a 7 day trial for £1 and is entirely up to you if that training expertise is for you. No gimmicks and hard sell just up to you.

My experience has been transformed by this opportunity and I would hastily recommend this to anyone is just starting or needs to get to the business to the next level.

The biggest Internet Challenge

Hi everyone. If you are like me wanting to know how to make money online but not sure where to go then I have a Solution for you.

Last year I committed myself to the challenge course with the aim of making $1 online with your own marketing using the techniques outlined on the course. Thankfully I did make that $1 and went to make over $200 in my first month after the course. Although not a life changing amount it convinced me that I could make money if I applied the methods that I was being taught.

The challenge course has been updated for September 2011 and this got me really pumped out as I wanted as many people I knew to have that same opportunity. It's no science if you put the work in you will see rewards. The aim of the course is to give yourself 30 minutes a day to learn what to do. It is a fantastic online course with online videos and PDF docs. Also can be downloaded for iphones/ipads and can be viewed on You Tube. It is entirely up to you, your only commitment is time because the course is FREE.

I decided to refresh myself because sometimes you forget and the first few days have been brilliant. I am well into the course and has revigorated me in terms of a good campaign to lead up to Christmas.

I do recommend this course and if interested please click here.

There will be some outlay for buying domain name (£5) and hosting website (£5) so no big investment other than your precious time. Give yourself that break and educate yourself on the wonders of the net.

Thanks and have a good day

The Beauty Diet that doesn't cost a packet

Ok so celebs have the cash to spend on the latest gimics to enhance there beauty. However, there is a way that can help more naturally and that is eating the right combination of foods.

There are 8 foods that you should consider and how they will work.

Tomatoes - Best for making those eyes sparkle
Tomatoes are rich in Lycopene (makes the red colour). This antioxidant not only keeps the skin healthy, it also acts as a skin protector and can help skin repair quicker. It's also essential for keeping your eyes looking healthy and bright. The redder the tomatoe the better and also Tomatoe paste has higher Lycopene so best using that more in cooking!

Avovados - Fights Cellulite
Half the weight of this fruit is made of natural monounsaturated oil - one of the good oils that can help lower cholesterol levels. It has many benefits such as alkalising effect that stops the break down of cells that causes that saggy looking skin and lumpy cellulite. It also carries Omega 9 fatty acid which locks onto your cells and keeps the moisture in your skin fresh.

Salmon - Glossy Hair
A fantastic source of protein, Vitamins A&D, Omega 3 acids. It helps the skin and scalp from drying out thus keeping your healthy and glossy. It is recommended to include oily fish at least 3 times a week to see the results.

Eggs - Weight Loss
Rich in vitamins and minerals including A&D, eating eggs for brekkie can control feelings of hunger thus cutting your intake of more calories.  For more info see http://www.eggsforaction.com/ .

Olive Oil - Wrinkles
One of natures greatest antioxidants. It's the beta-carotene and Vitamin E that help the skin stay young and fights the free readicals that surround our towns/cities. It helps build collagen a network of protein that keeps the skin remain plump and young. advised to use olive oil for cooking and salads.

Redbush Tea - Whiter Teeth
High in minerals and zinc, caffeine free redbush tea is becoming popular. It is as hydrating as water so you can drink without upsetting the body moisture levels. Unlike tea or coffee this will not stain your teeth so your white smile should remain.

Milk - Dry, dull looking skin
The calcium and Vitamin D is not only good for bones and teeth but also a moisturiser and exfoliator for the face and body. The lactic acid dissolves the bond of dead cells on top of the skin revealing a brighter fresher look. Try the cleopatra method of bathing in milk, ok just try a few glasses and see the results.

Oats - Natural Facelift
A staple ingredient in the Dukan Diet. A combinations of Carbs, vitamins B&E, fibres and minerals helps produce anti ageing and protein collagen so the skin will not sag. Fresh berries and seeds on top of your eggs..worth a go!

I hope the information is useful.

Review of the iphone 4

With the news headlines that Apple did not want that the prototype for the iphone 5 has gone missing in a bar by one of its employees could set back Apple a bit.

The good news is that you can't lose the iphone 4 as that is up and running so Apple don't have to worry about that.

The launch of the iphone 4 was much anticipated with the arrival of HD video and high resolution screen and a very sleek body on paper it looks a winner. The advantages I can first see is that the screen looks good and durable, 5 MP camera, Design much slicker and overhauled the iOS4. Since the first launch of the iphone in January 2007 a lot of changes have been made.

The traditional curbved back is no longer. The body of the phone is only 9.3mm thin at it's thickest point. The dimensions of the phone are 115mm x 58mm x 9.3mm and this represents a more compact version than previous incarnations.

The front and back of the phone are made of glass which is immune to scratching which is a nightmare of every smartphone carrier. A bumper is available in case you decide to test the theory and throw your phone at a concrete floor/wall. The top of the phone still holds the jack and power key and the bottom the usual charging, connecting and docking.

The design is good and handling is a lot more chunky than previous iphones, this may suit some but not others. On the whole it looks quality and you get a little tool to remove the micro SIM card - What more could you ask for.

For further information and to purchase the iphone 4 click here  Amazon represents very good deals on this phone.

First Year of Self Employment Part Four

Back again.. The first year of self employment has had its ups and downs and in whatever field you are working in you will need help and guidance.

I decided to try my hand at Internet Marketing because that fitted my needs and circumstances. I was looking after 2 Children following redundancy and this was something that I could do well but needed help on this.

I scoured the internet for help and advice and sometimes you come across people who just want money but give nothing in return. However, it was not all doom and gloom. I came across a webiste which was recommended by a mutual friend Jay Roberts.

To me it was what I was searching for. It had broken down training in a video format with PDF/smart applications to back up the video and started from the very beginning until you were up and running. The aim depending on how hard you worked was to make at least £1 from your own marketing efforts. Now you may think all this and how much did it cost to make £1. I will tell you it cost me NOTHING, thats right NOTHING. The only cost was your time. Now they did recommend a few things to buy such as domain hosting (£5 a month) Market Samuari for keyword research (one of fee of £80 for lifetime use) but that was up to you, no pressure. The fact I spent about £85 to get my business up and running is a terrific return.

Now these guys have updated there training and this will start in September 2011. So if you interested and want to get learning in your own time and not someone elses then click here for this wonderful piece of training. I highly recommend it and often go back just to review what I am doing. It is a wonderful library to use. Click here to get started.

First Year of Self Employment....part 3

Continuing the series of my first year in self employment and what to do, what motivates you and how you can achieve those goals.

An Important part is making a plan or a decision and stick to it. The essence is not to give up. If you have a dream or an ambition, it is possible but it will take hard work, guts and determination to see it through. Also it needs to be in your hands, there is no point saying your ambition is to win the euro millions because that plan is way outside your control.

On monday night I went to Old Trafford to see Manchester United first home game of the season against Tottenham Hostspur. Now things have changed at Manchester United since the defeat against Barcelona in May. That evening they were beating by the better team where the core of the team was through there own academy. Sir Alex Ferguson said that we will get better after that match. Since that day, the old guard have left the team and a new breed of new youngsters have stepped up.

What I witnessed on Monday was mesmeric. After a slow start the team got better and just kept running, moving and a desire to beat the opponents and beat them well. I was interested in Sir Alex quote after where he said the young brood would go through barb wire whilst the older more experienced may look for a gate 200 metres down the way.

Sir Alex made a plan to make these changes and stuck with the decision when others may have questioned him. It was brave but he had faith and when you go with your conviction, things happen. Thats what I did, sometimes you have to make brave decisions but if you are hungry enough and determined then success will be yours!!

First Year of Self Employment Part 2...

Once you have decided to go self employed in your chosen area the next bit you need is advice and help to achieve those goals you have set.

I decided on working on Internet marketing as this looked good, fitted around my lifestyle and potentially money to be made.

As with any venture there are many experts and guru's who can offer advice and help for a fee. Some are good and some are not so good. In these early stages you are blinded a bit by who to trust and who not to trust.

I have found that if you have ideals and aspirations then those who offer solutions should match yours. Now that list is up to you but to get going you need to be honest, hard working, ethical and also ruthless but not being aggressive or abusive.

The key to this is planing. What to do, how to get there and once there how to stay there and grow. Sometimes you have to take a chance. Now this does not mean financially, sometimes you get a gut feeling that something your doing is good and may benefit others either by a product or a service.

Take an example of the Bulmers TV advert. There was a chap on the street flogging his heart and soul into giving FREE tickets to see his mates band in a pub in Islington, London. Countless people walked past and did not take the opportunity and ignored his claims. The ones who did take the chance were treated to some free Cider and free gig by up and coming chart stars PLAN B. What a decision they made!

When they interviewed some of the attendees once claimed 'it was the best decision I made today'. Thats all it takes, if you get a feeling then go for it!

First Year of Self employment..Part One

I am going to share some insights into my first year of self employment. There has been highs and lows but in the end I have made that first year and still in profit and still functioning in a difficult market.

After being made redundant from a job I was in for 20 years it definately is a culture shock. I was looking after my young daughters so that kept me very busy but equally I wanted my market worth by child minding and building a business to keep me away from the world of employment.

For me the key factor is self motivation. I went from going to a office for 20 years and now I work from home. I have no boss to tell me what to do, I have no appraisal, No unions, No HR help no nothing all on my own (apart from wife and children).

You need to be very organised and that what you do is productive. Writing lists of what to do but if you dont do it dont beat yourself up things happen! So to help me I needed something to help me. Personal development was key. Unless you change how you are you will always have what you've got.

My source of inspirations came from business philosphers such as Jim Rohn, Stephen Covey, Anthony Robbins, Jack Canfield and Mark Hansen. Even it is a 20 minute read or listen to CD in car on a journey it can help.

I had the fortune to attend a Jim Rohn seminar before his untimely departure, but he had great wisdom and value and in a room with approx 3000 people he thanked us for coming and listening to him. It wasn't about him, he wanted to help people and that is a trait that many forget.

One key Jim rohn phrase I use when working in the midnight hour or starting to feel tired is 'without a sense of urgency, desire loses it value'. You have to keep going and if you want it badly you'll find a way to get it. think back to being a child when you wanted a toy or sweet. You would hatch a plan quickly and implement your strategy by talking, doing things and being persistant. A gift we then lose as we grow older as for some reason it is knocked out of us and we lose that gift.

This week sees the children or young adults awaiting the results of the A Level exams taken. There will be a lot of tension as university places up for grabs and UCAS will be under pressure to deal with. Good luck to all and I want to end by using some of my inspiration Jim Rohn to help you later on.

Formal education will make you a living, self education will make you a fortune.
The book you dont read won't help you.
Miss a meal if you have to, but dont miss a book.
The greatest gift of human imagination is that there is no limits and endings.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!

but in the words of Mr Henry Ford 'whether you think you can or think you can't, your right'

Good Luck to all

Conclusion of the summer project!

We are now coming towards the end of the school summer holidays and Carmen in the next week or two will need to start editing her summer project on Castles and dungeons.

One thing has made the job very easy is the Flip video. We have been able to do all the videoing in a handy size machine no more than the size of a mobile phone. Now for those who dont have have iphones or 3g phones etc.. this is a great tool to have. It can record up to 2 hours and you download on to your control panel or it has the facility to download to You tube, Facebook, Twitter.

It charges on your pc via the USB so no batteries are needed or wires. Very easy to use and has made life easy in terms of downloading and editing for her final release.

For a full review on the product please read Flip Ultra HD 3rd generation on http://www.barrykilgannon.com/page8.php

Football Season started

It's great to have the football back!

I am a season ticket holder on the Stretford end and watching United on Sunday has whetted the appetite for mondays visit of Tottenham Hotspur.

This week we have our godsons visiting us for a couple of days and when I asked the parents what shall we do, the reply was 'get a football thats all they play'. With 2 girls in the house they do not actively play football. The next problem was finding a ball to play. There are so many (when I was young there wasn't much choice but they were usually made of granite!!).

In the end I opted for the Premiership ball by nike. My god it was one hell of a ball. I could strike it no problem. It bought me back to a documentary a few years ago called 'has football gone soft' they interviewed seventies hard man Liverpool full back Tommy Smith. When they asked him about the modern day footballer he snarled ' kicking a balloon around a bowling green pitch' He went on to add they only time they played on grass was in August and late May. That is how I remember football. 11 men in battle on a mudbath of a pitch where the fans stood up and sang during the entire match with each stand taking it's turn.

I know events shook things up and it had to in terms of people safety but the footballers have become movie stars and untouchable. Years ago you could meet your hero in the pub and have the crack. These days with sports science they cant even eat a McDonalds without it causing a ripple. Anyway I am going of at a tangent.

For these new balls click here and see how your shooting will improve. 2 days of football with the boys to come. wish me luck!

Now Thats what I call Nostalgia

As I write I am a youngish 40 year old and most of my mates are now at that milestone. One of my mates decided to have a 40th bash in Royal Leamington Spa as it was a place he was familar with and was a change from the normal night out.

We all landed around tea time on the friday and once we had a wash and supper we went out. Now for our generation the nightlife has radically changed. We were in between the trendy bars and the old established bars and the difference between the two was quite apparent. The trendy ones were all youngsters with the lads in spiked hairs and tight t-shirts and the girls in short dresses and sun bed tanned bodies. The established were a mixture of professionsals or older ones out for a quiet drink.

We managed to fit in both (albeit had to hold our tummies in at the trendy bars!!) we then ended up at a an old bingo hall converted into a music venue and to our suprise it was a Cortina Night which was a mixture of late 70's and 80's music. Now this place ticked all the boxes it was a mixture of all those people i described and all having a great night out. We felt ok as a lot of tunes we had either forgotten or not heard in years.

So when these marketing people get together to define what market they are penetrating there is nothing better than going agaisnt the norm and for me this was what the eighties was all about. Work hard and play hard, excess to the excess and the music wasnt bad either!!

This when i got home got me looking for old tunes and came across my first now album on vinyl and this bought back memories. If you are feeling nostalgic then click here for the first Now Album (sadly not on vinyl but progress has to go on!)

Sportmanship Does Exist

For those who know me i am a bit of a sports mad person and the wife becomes a football widow when the new season starts. However, as the years increase I get increasingly frustrated by the 'gamemanship' that goes on in football and one likes to hark back to the old days when players played hard and never showed pain or be very sporting and accept the refs decision.

As the football season draws nearer I also watch a lot of cricket and love the sport. It's not without its controversy but what I witnessed yesterday has restored my faith in sports people. As we know they are winners and no one likes losing. To coin a Allan Border phrase (Australia cricket captain) 'Nice guys never win'.

The scene was Trent Bridge, Nottingham and the teams are England and India. Last ball delivered before tea break and Ian Bell strikes the ball towards the boundary and the indian fielder Kumar makes a vain attempt to stop the ball but he goes over the fence and the ball stays on the field. To be fair Kumar does not know where the ball is and eventually finds and returns to the howls of laughter from the crowd. The england batsmen are on the way to the pavillion thinking they scored a boundary and declared tea themselves. At this point the umpires had not called tea and Ian Bell is Run Out. The umpires are in a predicament and go the video ref to see what happended. By the letter of the law India were correct and Ian Bell was out. Cue scenes of anger and disenchantment from the crowd as the umpires and the India team leave the field.

Those in the ground were possibly upset as the spirit of cricket and sportmanship was in tatters. However, to everyones amazement behind the scenes was frantic talks. The Indian team felt not happy at the manner in which Ian Bell was given out and the team decided to call him back, it has to be said also that the England Team captain and coach went doen to ask if they could appeal on there better nature. The decision was made that Ian Bell would be called back. As the umpires and the Indian team re-entered the field the boos and hissing started then the England team appeared on the balcony clapping (Was this sarcasm we thought!!) but no Ian Bell walked out to cheers and amazement. The umpires declared he was back!

From that moment the whole mood changed and the two teams fought valiantly on the field and the relationships between the two teams thawed and was good humour between the fielders and the batsmen. It was great to see.

The Indian captain MS Dhoni will take a lot of plaudits and rightly so buit the cynics may say that his team may lose the no.1 ranking to England if they lose this test match. The good guy on this occassion might not win but what he does take is honesty, respect and good sportsmanship.

For those interested in cricket, I recommend this book By Simon Hughes called 'and god created cricket' Excellent read click here for more information and on how to buy.

The Ipad Generation

My review today is on the Apple Ipad 2 16gb Wifi model and from my point of view there is never a better time to join the Ipad generation. For those who purchased the first one may bemoan there luck and will look to upgrade as with any technology things change all the time.

So down to the nitty gritty and the differences between the original and the new one. The Ipad 2 is thinner and lighter tablet. The tablet is 241mm tall, 186mm wide and 8.6mm thick also there is a smart cover to protect all the smears that have been annoying due to heavy use of prodding and sliding along the screen.  Also there is an increase in the applications by the thousands, to be precise there is over 65,000 applications available. The applications also run faster thanks to the A5 dual core processor. As a result the applications run faster, browsing is much faster and the graphics perform significantly better than the original.

The Ipad was no slouch but compared to the Ipad 2 it is trailing in the stakes. One major addition is the cameras. There are one on the front and one on the back. The back is a 720p HD Video and the front which is for video conferencing also works as a still camera as well. With the addition of the camera, the Ipad2 joins forces with the iphone 4 and ipod touch in getting Facetime and this is great for those who travel a lot and want to keep in touch with the nearest and dearest.

One application of key interest is GarageBand. This musical making program can help you layer tracks and produce songs from your collection and become the ultimate music producer. You can literally spend hours each day on this and not get bored and a real must for any musical lover.

As with any application you want to look for weaknesses. For me very hard to find one. Size is ok, excellent applications, the spec is just right and not too technical, faster browsing and better graphics and all in an excellent product to purchase. For those thinking about it I would say do it and you won't regret the decision. TheIpad generation is on the march.

Flip Ultra HD 3rd Generation

For all those who are fans of the Flip video the new ultra HD 3rd generation is out and for those who have not sampled the delights of this kit will surely be amazed by what this can do for you.

This is my latest purchase of what Flip has to offer having used the two previous models for me the simplicity is the big bonus. No frills just does what it says and for me this has taken the Flip to a new level and with high definition.

The spec has changed from my two previous purchases. It is a 8GB machine with 2 hour recording (the previous models were only 1 hour) and is 720p HD and with image stabilisation. The size of the Flip is 106x54x22m and has a 2" screen which is big enough to see what you are doing. It still has the customary digital zoom to make life still easier. The video quality is still excellent with the automatic low light detection.

You can either charge the model through the USB port or 3 aaa lithium batteries and the charge will last approx 90 minutes, if charging through the USB it will only take 4 hours where previous it was 6 hours so definate improvement.

I found the new and improved model still easy to use and still has the original features such as power saver, play all and the rewind/forward/pause buttons. The new Flip only weighs 4.5 ozs but is still a powerful machine with the customary built in speakers and microphones.

It also has software to publish to share direct to facebook, you tube and twitter which make life even more easier.

So what do you get for your pounds, euros or dollars? you get the video camera, battery, wrist strap, case and user guide, and lots of fun videoing made easy by the ultra hd 3rd generation.

e reading - the future of reading

The future of reading has just taken a new step. I recently purchased one of these items as slowly I am turning the tide towards all things modern and decided to see which was the best ereaders. I have now rid my vinyl collection, CD's are being burned and put on the ipod and thus making the CD redundant and now it seems the books and newspapers are getting the same treatment. The Study is looking more empty each time I visit. The New Amazon Kindle has proved to me and possibly some doubters that this is in for the long haul and things can only improve.
Now on its third guise, the Kindle has evolved into not only the best e-book readers on the market. This to me has been achieved by the improvements made and more critically the price is now affordable to tempt that floater ( someone like me!)
When reviewing this there is little difference between the second and third generation. They retain the same  six-inch displays and full isolation Qwerty keyboards, but in reality important upgrades have been made in nearly every area. For a start, the new Kindle is 21 percent smaller (190 x 213 x 8.5mm) and 15 percent lighter (247g) than the Kindle 2,  but for me the big change is that the Kindle 3 storage has doubled to 4GB, capacity enough for up to approximately 3,500 books. For me that would clear an entire room all on a hand held device.
One big advantage is the Kindle excels in comparison to its rivals is its multi-platform Whispersync synchronisation service. It's built into Kindle apps for ios (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad), Android, BlackBerry OS, PC, Mac and even web browsers. In a nutshell you could be reading from your iPhone on the way to work, switching to your laptop over lunch, back to the iPhone on the way home and picking up your Kindle in the evening without ever losing your place.
With the launch of Kindle 3 more ebooks are available in UK stores and with Newspapers and blog feeds momentum is taking over and now there is over 400,000 books avaialble to purchase and over 130 newspaprs and I have found purchasing content very smooth and some of the Kindle applications will have free information or trial subscriptions to give you a flavour of the future. i
But for me the price is exceptional. The Wi-Fi only version of the Kindle 3 retails for just over  £100. less than half the price of many rivals, while the 3G+Wi-Fi model costs around the £150 mark. The latter is a premium worth paying for if you're an international traveller, since it includes free global data use for the lifetime of the device.
For me this is a life changing product and is having the same effect that iPod did for digital music. At first there is resistance but given time and sometimes we do have little then this gadget is a time saver and can be used anywhere.
